Three counselors were sitting in the waiting room outside the pearly gates when Saint Peter called the first one up to the desk. "So, what have you done to deserve to come in here?" asked the old gatekeeper. "Well, I was a counselor working at a community mental health center. I worked many long hours under stressful conditons and helped to save many lives," the counselor said. "Well come right in, then, and make yourself at home," St. Peter replied.

The second counselor was called in and answered St. Peter's question, "Well, I was a counselor working with troubled students in a high school. I worked many long hours under stressful conditions and I helped to save many lives." "Well come right in, then, and make yourself at home," replied St. Peter.

The third counselor came into St. Peter's office and said, "Well, I worked for a managed health care corporation during my lifetime. I worked many long hours under stressful conditions and I helped to save the insurance company a lot of money." St. Peter looked puzzled for a moment but then said, "Well, come right in and make yourself at home... but you can only stay for three days."
