Muppet Bloopers

from rec.arts.henson+muppets, March 1998

I think I remember seeing one once, and Piggy chopped Frank in the head because his head was visible (or something like that). Another was that Kermit and Robin were talking and one of the two flubbed the scene.. over and over and over. Finally, one of them, I think it was Robin, commented on a frog in the throat and the whole crew lost it.

I do remember years ago on one of Dick Clark's Blooper specials they showed Bert & Ernie doing a scene and Bert's eye popped off. Then Bert & Ernie started to improvise as to what had just happened. I was laughing to hard to listen to the improvs that Jim & Frank were doing about the eye.

I remember seeing one on that show where Kermit and Fozzie were talking, and then Fozzie's mouth got stuck open. So of course Frank Oz made Fozzie speak appropriately. I don't remember the details, but it was funny to see.

I saw another Muppet blooper on one of those Dick Clark shows last year, I think it was. It had Kermit and Robin on some TV show appearance from years ago, and Robin was talking, and Jerry Nelson's throat got a little hoarse. So, Jerry makes Robin say, "Excuse me," and Robin starts coughing. And Kermit (Jim) says "Robin? You alright?" and starts hitting him in the back to try and help Robin clear his throat. :) I couldn't stop laughing.

I once saw a blooper from Muppet Christmas Carol. It was from the scene where Gonzo is attempting to hitch a ride with the Ghost of Christmas Past. The grappling hook gets cought on his nose! I'm sure Rizzo had something to say about it, but I don't remember.
